My Students
I am in an inner city school where all the students qualify for free school lunch. Due to budget cuts we are not receiving the supplies that are needed to help in our instruction.
My students are very eager to learn and I want to give them what they need to help them be successful in school.
Many of my student don't have someone to read to them at home and the listening center will give them the opportunity to hear stories read to them in addition to my reading to them in class.
My Project
My students need a listening center to help differentiate instruction. A listening center will allow me to conference with my students and to help assist in giving each student the instruction they need. A group of students can hear the same book as they read it. The table holds the recording equipment and headphones so it's always available for the students to use.
The listening center will help the children in their speaking and writing.
Better speaking and writing skills will assist them in their future endeavors. Please help me help my class to be prepared for the future.
