My Project

Hello,

I am a kindergarten teacher who loves to bring fun, creative materials, and projects to our school day.

My students love acting out stories they have heard and creating their own stories through puppetry, paintings, and homemade books! Adding more art and literacy materials to our supplies will allow my imaginative students to continue to grow their literacy skills such as reading comprehension, storytelling, and writing. Having a reading station with a CD player in our classroom will allow my students to listen to stories with their classmates.

Model magic is a great tool to use for recreating a character from a story or nonfiction book- students can paint and retell a story or fact about their creation.

In Kindergarten, we use Pony beads for so many projects. Activities can include friendship bracelets and ornaments. They can also be used for counting and making patterns.
