Creative Kids

My students need hands-on projects to build and create with Lego kits where they are able to build different machines and robots.

My Students

Our students come to school each day ready to learn. They are amazing, young people who are like a giant family. They watch out for each other and work as a team. They want to learn and grow each day.

I love coming to work here each day and seeing the positive feelings from the staff and students.

Sometimes I see students arrive at the doors waiting for them to open, over an hour before school starts. We start our days with music playing in the hallway and teachers greeting the kids with smiles.

My Project

My middle school and high school special education students have very creative minds, but struggle with everyday worksheets and classroom assignments. I want to be able to let them show their creativity through building and creating, using Lego kits and kinetic sand.

My students are visual learners and will have an easier time with learning mathematical concepts if they can see them demonstrated in a visually, compelling way.

Legos can help them share or create stories and learn patterns. The way we can use Legos and Kinetic sand to create are endless in the classroom. It will allow my students to show their creativity in ways other than paper and pencil activities.
