My Project

The items I'm requesting will facilitate adolescents in sharing, processing, and healing from trauma, abuse, anxiety, and depression through sand play therapy. Working in the sand is metaphorically rich; its non-verbal, artistic approach gently unlocks the unconscious, fostering expanded states of consciousness in a safe environment. This safe environment allows people to release their feelings, conflicts, and emotions, bringing unconscious fears, thoughts, and memories into their conscious awareness. The use of miniatures can also help counselors identify the presence of psychological symptoms like anxiety, according to a 2021 study.

Your contribution to this project enables the use of Sandplay Therapy, offering many a chance to embark on a new path, see things differently, and process more than imaginable while providing a means for healing.
