Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students can't wait to do projects with creative crafting materials. These supplies will allow me to have students close their chromebooks and incorporate visual arts projects into my science curriculum.
These supplies (clay, crayons, glue, pom poms, pipe cleaners, paper, wood sticks, felt, display boards) will help my students develop skills in creativity, crafting and art.
Far too often, students have not had the chance to show their learning in a physical and creative way. Sculpting with clay, creating art, and engineering solutions have been replaced by simulations on screens. I love the energy and excitement my students have for hands-on creative projects. The results I get are far better when they can do more than type their answers.
