My Students

My students are amazing, marvelous and challenging on many levels. They come to school excited, eager to experience an exciting lesson. I often refer to them jokingly as “challenging customers” that refuse to accept second best. As I try my best to provide excellent customer service to my clientele, I find that it is never enough to just teach.

It is a journey to discover how best to serve every single one of my students and get them ready for college and for life and I am enjoying the ride.

Our school is a Title I school in Atlanta where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many of our students are facing many socioeconomic challenges that hinder their academic success. As I observe them interact with one another, enthused in a lesson, I regain my conviction that a future is possible and achievable for all my students.

My Project

We are pleading with you, asking for plain t-shirt to customize. We are getting creative in finding engaging ways to practice what we are learning about Financial literacy.

The t-shirts will allow us to make various creations that students can spend their "paycheck" money buying; this will help them learn more about budgeting.

Students will have to do a market study to find out what designs will bring in the most money and make it available on the market. This project will allow my students to be creative while at the same time learning more about the market, planning, budget, and spending.
