This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My scholars login virtually every day at school, ready to learn! The scholars in my class are an example of defying the odds and want to bring change to their communities and ultimately the world. They make teaching fun, engaging, and sometimes unpredictable. They truly love to learn new things.

My Project

I applied to the Pathfinders Winter Institute to learn new techniques and skills to keep my scholars on the edge of new 21st century technology.

I chose the Creative Electronics with Chibitronics Paper Circuits course because it combines wiring and electric circuits with arts and crafts.

I feel that my scholars can benefit from learning this curriculum because they get to learn how to wire circuits and how electricity works and they get to use their imagination, be creative, and think outside the box while doing so.

I can see our school and community benefiting from this course as well in the form of a school store that has student made greeting cards or even interactive art displays that combine computer science and art.
