Creative Cushions for Collaborative Learning

My students need soft seats for flexible seating as we must be creative with our space as we have 35 students.

My Students

We are a team of leaders. Above all, we are striving to become the best community members we can be. Through our lessons in all curricular areas and our team meetings, we are choosing to be kind and keeping it positive.

Every Bulldog, Every Day!" We work hard daily to believe in ourselves and each other, engage in our lessons, and succeed in our goals every day to make our school community the best place for all of us to succeed in our learning.

My Project

These 12 floor cushions will allow nearly 1/3 of our class to enjoy more of the floor space during independent technology and reading times as well as during collaborative activities that take place around our room. As we have 35 students, space must be used creatively. Students enjoy the space of the floor, however, it is hard and if there is an activity that requires 6-12 to sit on the floor for more than 5 minutes, it's tough for them to stay comfortable for that long. These cushions are 15" in diameter. They are bigger than most and as we have 35 5th graders, the bigger the better. I can see the entire class enjoying the comfort and color these cushions will bring to our room as they engage with literacy, technology and each other in their learning.
