This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Diverse background group of Urban students in an inclusion classroom. That means our classroom has half Special Ed and half general Ed students working together in full support!

Because we have so many different levels of abilities, socially and academically, my kids love hands-on and project based learning, their comprehension on curriculum soars!

My kids love learning the curriculum from many different angles, turning math lessons into songs, ELA lessons with art pulled through it, etc. By mixing things up, we hit a lot of different strengths and support a lot of weaknesses in one lesson.

We are in Western Massachusetts, but not in the farm land! My kiddos come from the city and work hard to get where they want to be in the future. We try to expose them to as many things as possible that they might not get to experience on their own!

My Project

Our students work and learn best when they are engaged in what they're doing because it's connected to their interests.

With the iPad, our students will be able to create amazing hands-on projects and movies based on the curriculum using one of their favorite things, technology!

We hope to add more iPads as the year continues!

This past year we created AMAZING Science videos on different standards, but had to borrow a teacher's iPad and we only had the one to use. I would love for students to be able to do the everything in their video and hands on projects from the first steps, down to editing. This would be an amazing way to incorporate technology into the classroom, while helping the student understand the lessons in a creative and fun, but rigorous way! It will also improve on independence and team work skills!
