Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students attend a Title I school where 100% receive free breakfast and lunch. We are in a high low-income area of our district. Our school neighborhood is home to a high gang population and single moms doing the best they can! We also serve about 20% of our students weekend backpacks from the local food bank.
Despite these circumstances, my students always come eager to learn, full of energy and life, wanting to conquer the world ahead of them!
My Project
I have a class of little people who love to imagine and create art! As they work with our current supply of art materials, their creativity is blossoming! However, what we have is limited! As I seek to expand our supply with the collage box, rolling pins, and collage boards, I can envision their creative minds exploding!
Organization is key to a creative and imaginative space of learning!
The shelving unit and clear bins will keep our art center organized and easy to see and use each supply correctly. We will appreciate your donations to help our creative minds grow!
