This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Thank you for taking the time reading about our project. We are a Title I school who is part of the free breakfast and lunch program. My students also receive ELL and speech and language support. This year they have exhibited creativity in amazing ways through art activities. I want to continue inspiring my budding artists during all the seasons. I have a wonderful class of 2nd and 3rd graders who use the avenue of art to self-regulate their emotions as well as meeting their sensory needs.

The excitement and joy they feel when participating in crafts warms my heart.

My goal is to have materials they can use to create things for Christmas, Valentine's Day, and Mother's Day. Funding this project would mean for my students to have opportunities to make ornaments, picture frames for their mothers, suncatchers, and much more!
