My Project

Our students will use art as a powerful tool to deepen their mathematical thinking by exploring shapes, patterns, symmetry, and measurement in creative ways. This approach honors their diverse backgrounds and experiences, including those from historically marginalized communities, by valuing each student’s unique perspective. Integrating art and math fosters an inclusive learning environment where students can see themselves represented and empowered. It also supports racial justice by promoting equity in math education, ensuring all students have meaningful access to concepts through culturally responsive, creative expression. Through this blend of art and math, students build confidence, critical thinking, and a stronger connection to math as a living, relevant subject.
