This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Having a calm corner for when the going gets tough and our little explorers need a little rest will be a great resource. For some students coming to art can be a difficult transition. With so many exciting art making materials and so many little bodies in the room art can sometimes become overstimulating for some children! Sensory tools, head phones, bean bags and games make for a comfy and sensory soothing experience to help students de-escalate and get ready to join our activity again. Timers will aide students in letting them know when it’s time to join us again.
