My Project
My school has many new English Language Learners who have only recently come to the USA hoping for a better life. Each grade level and class has many students who do not speak English and they come to my STEM classroom as a place where they can use their creativity and have tons of fun.
I really love these "Brain Flakes" because they have so many possibilities for exploring construction and creativity without the need for language.
They are very colorful and appealing to kids of all ages and are easy to use, but not too easy to use.
Students would be able to complete STEM challenges by linking the brain flakes together to create amazing engineering designs. I love that the pieces come in a neat plastic container for easy usage and storage.
Students could create builds for topics such as climate and the environment, insects, and transportation, or even create their own designs using their imaginations.
