My Students

My preschool students are imaginative, eager learners. They thrive on routine and crave normalcy. During this time of unrest, confusion, and pandemic I would like to create a safe environment of security and comfort. Daily video read alouds, emails, texts, and phone calls are helping to bridge the gap as we are teaching and learning in new ways.

I have created daily lessons that provide parents with learning tools, teaching ideas, and art activities.

I have worked hard to give students and parents suggestions to use various household materials in a creative way. A paper plate becomes the body of a spider and discarded boxes become giant dice. I continue to encourage ongoing learning as we navigate through these unprecedented times.

My Project

During the coronavirus pandemic, my preschool students are forced to learn from home. Parents and caregivers are working hard to keep their children engaged and interested in numbers, letters, and art. My families have expressed an interest in the projects that I am suggesting and they have indicated that they are unable to obtain some of the basic art supplies.

I would like to provide our families with art supplies that enable continuous learning and enhance creativity.

These supplies would enable my students to complete daily enrichment lessons, journal entries, math activities, and literacy projects. Crayons, construction paper, scissors, and journals would also allow parents to create and connect with their children while at home.

I am confident that these art supplies will give families the tools to help their children create, learn, and grow.
