Help me give my students an opportunity to not only amplify their voices using wireless microphones, but also share their creativity through performing arts and mathematical illustrations.
My students have innovative ideas that deserve to be seen and sensational voices that deserve to be heard. That is why I have chosen to create this Donors Choose Project for student-friendly white board markers and wireless microphones.
I plan to use the microphones to enable my students to express themselves fully, creatively, and professionally, while performing on stage, during our school's production of The Wiz Musical.
Although our 2022 Winter Holiday Program was well received, it was difficult to hear my class singing in acapella, due to the excitement of the audience and lack of wireless microphones. Last year, our Student Masters of Ceremony had to share one mic and the classroom performers shared another one. At the last minute, I had to have my scholars squeeze together to better amplify their voices using a single microphone. This is simply unacceptable.
As for the dry erase markers, I find myself buying countless dry-erase markers from the Dollar Tree Store, but they dry out rather quickly. It would be nice to have a set of long-lasting markers for math strategy sharing and practice. This is essential for 4th and 5th graders who are required to illustrate how to multiply and divide multistep problems involving fractions and decimals.
