Help me give my students a 3D printer to create a new station on our classroom that will allow them to express themselves creatively all while practicing life skills.
Over the years, as a special educator, I have found that a lot of students with disabilities are labeled by what they can't do. Well I strive to label them with what they CAN do.
In my classroom, I believe myself students are capable of so many things and over time I have tried to bring in things that will broaden their horizon of creativity, academics, and life skills, but also things that interest them and make the learning environment more fun.
I plan to continue doing just that with this grant of a 3D printer and all the things that will help create a station in our classroom for our students to use it to express creativity and have fun while learning new skills that will prepare them for their future after graduation.
My ultimate goal for the project and most projects is to enhance learning in different ways and prove to my students how capable they are of so many different things. I also strive to ensure that they know learning and work can be fun but it is also very rewarding.
Each and every one of my students are so special to me and I would be lying if I said I have taught them more than they have taught me over the years. They continue to teach me how capable they are of so many different things and I think this project is an opportunity for us to learn something new, together all while allowing them to be creative and bringing I their own unique touch!
