My Students

My students are special because they are full of creative ideas. They love to explore innovative ways of designing and problem solving with hands on materials. Many students get more than just academics from school, they get experiences. These experiences teach them 21st century skills needed to thrive in today's words, like communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking.

My Project

With this project, all our maker dreams will come true. As the librarian, I will be able to effectively teach all K-5 students how to open their minds to creativity and use their imagination to explore and solve problems. Students will have a space in the library with all the materials necessary to create and gain experiences. This wish will help me fill these empty shelves with STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics) books, design materials, and robots. This creation station will be used for lessons taught by teachers and students, but it will also be an area for students to use on their own during independent work times.
