Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students learn best through play and we are creative learners. Through using multiple senses students will develop language development, conflict resolution, self-regulation, emotional and cognitive development that increases vocabulary.
Dramatic play is crucial for social skills that develops communication, cooperation and problem-solving.
Children will also learn empathy, grace and courtesy by taking on different roles and various perspectives.
Creativity and imagination enhances by allowing children to create their own stories and scenarios. My students are from a large city community where lack of urban surroundings are crucial for exposing them to different foods and how they are grown or various food preparation will get them thinking of sequential order. We can learn by converting our creation station to restaurants, science lab, medical care, botany center, and different shops at various times of the year.
