Help me give my students drawing pads, oil pastels, markers, and other tools to express themselves.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from a small neighborhood community and go to a Title I school. They receive a free breakfast and a free or reduced-price lunch each day.
They are a resilient group of boys and girls who enjoy learning even if it means doing it at home.
My Project
Students have had to make quick adjustments from learning at school to learning at home. They miss seeing their friends and playing with them. They miss the interaction with their teacher and other school staff.
These art materials will help them to express their feelings in a way that they may not be able to in words.
Students love to draw and often their drawings tell a lot about their thoughts, hopes and aspirations.
Our school day will definitely be filled with building knowledge but this is another part of their brain they will be able to exercise in a different and creative way.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
