This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My scholars are part of a Title I public school. The majority of them come from single-parent homes. Approximately 98% of the scholars in my school receive free and/or reduced price lunch. With the exception of the school day, many of them have limited access to technology. I love my students' enthusiasm and desire to learn new things. They are anxious to achieve locally and on a global level. My students are like sponges, waiting to soak up as much knowledge as possible. They are special because their potential for college and career readiness is unlimited.
My Project
Chromebooks in my classroom would enable the scholars to become creative thinkers. They would help them share their thoughts and ideas through writing using various media. They would allow more effective differentiation among the scholars. When technology integration in the classroom is seamless and thoughtful, scholars not only become more engaged, they begin to take control over their own learning as well.
The teacher can assist from the highest achieving scholars to the struggling scholars through technology. It encourages student-centered project-based learning. Your donation will allow me to make integration and project-based learning a reality for my scholars.
