Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are often labeled as being from an urban district. I hear this frequently but always think to myself "they are so much more than that." My students are innovators, writers, readers, athletes, artists, and some of the most compassionate people I've ever met. They are the future and deserve the best education possible. These children have the opportunity to do whatever they want and achieve all of their goals, and my goal is to have them reach their highest potential.

My Project

This project will make a significant impact on my students' lives. Currently the only time most of them access technology is when they are at school. In our state, they are required to complete all of their tests on the computer, but they are not exposed to them often.

These Chromebooks will help emerge them in technology on a daily basis.

Technology is one of the most important skills to have for their future careers. If my students can begin at an early age, I fully believe that they will be the future innovators of the world. I also believe that they deserve to have the same opportunity as students in other schools.
