Mr. Martinez from Riviera Beach FL is requesting instructional technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
Help me give my students this VR headset so that I can help my classrooms explore the newest levels of interactive technology using programming, creation building, and engaging content.

These items will help students gain the extra time they need using digital applications as extra practice at home. Many assignments require trial and error and extra time to experiment with thus allowing students to work on their own time. Students get a set amount of time while in class sharing class resources with other students. These items will also help to get students motivated to take on the new areas of learning some of which are experiencing these lessons for the first time. Students access technology on their own time and can have a greater impact on learning and can make a difference.
Many of our students do not have the resources needed to achieve success this is the biggest challenge at our Title I school.
There are some students who do not have access to computers at home due to financial or income-based situations We need your help to make this happen and help students to move into this exciting every growing field.
I would like to give my students the opportunity to work with and create technologies in the VR/AR space using programs such as CoSpaces Edu, Panoforms and Blockly coding techniques. Most importantly, the skills student would build on include some of the following: learning how to code interactions with block-based coding or advanced scripting in a virtual or augmented reality setting, Math and perspective drawing as well as interactions with innovative teaching methods.
I feel these technologies will help students embrace lessons that may seem very technical or nontraditional they may also serve as a platform to elevate students who would not normally be interested in computer science to gain a stronger connection.
My hope and goal are to get as many students interested in technology and computer science as possible. This technology will also ensure many hours of project-based work that will greatly benefit all students.
