Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In elementary school, students are gifted goody bags during the holidays. Often times in Highschool, these celebrations are non existent. Working with high school students I've realized how much they appreciate being acknowledged with simple items such as snacks and stress relief toys.

I am requesting items so that my SEL group can put together Valentine's Day goody bag in which they can give a classmate or staff member.

This activity will help them practice generosity and sympathy towards their community, starting right at their school. I want them to remember how to be kind and compassionate towards each other. This thoughtful donations will help my students by reminding them about the art of giving and thinking about each other .
