Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

This is my first year teaching! It has always been a dream of mine, but life happened and teaching didn't. My dad passed away last year, but we had time to say goodbye. He told me to do what makes me happy and to finally enjoy my work, so I completed my certification, passed the state test and am lucky to work with young students just starting school. I am ready to instill a love of learning in each of them.

My Project

These items will provide a comfortable, safe space for my students to be able to enjoy learning and reach their full potential!

The school where I teach is a charter school and most students are economically disadvantaged and typically, do not have supplies accessible at home to continue learning.

These items will help me to create an environment that they will be excited to come to each day and give their all! Every student deserves a chance to reach their full potential and I cannot wait to be a part of that!
