This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
In our school, we have an amazing and diverse student body. Our students are creative, full of energy, hands-on learners, and are very social. They deserve a classroom that meets their needs.

My Project
During this hard time, our incredible students need all the guidance and support to continue to balance remote and in-school learning. Books like "Be Kind", "When I Feel Frustrated", and "The Worry Machine" will help teach them about self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. Creating lesson plans to enhance the messages in books will give them the necessary tools to learn to control and express their emotions. These books will be read to students while social distancing in class and will also be read virtually to those students who are choosing remote learning.
