Social-emotional learning plays a critical role in helping children to become positive members in a global society. The items I am requesting will give children an opportunity to engage in hands-on activities and explore social-emotional skills that will help their academics, behavior, and overall mental health.
Social skills are important for all students as they help children gain a sense of independence and self-awareness.
The COVID-19 pandemic greatly impacted the students in so many ways. They were not able to build their social skills through face-to-face interactions with one another. Many of the children have a difficult time understanding both their feelings and the feelings of others. In this ever-changing world, it is important to help children understand their feelings and the feelings of others.
Once children can identify their feelings, they can better cope and self-regulate. When students feel good, they are more ready and able to learn. Now, more than ever, it is important to educate the whole child and help them to become the best versions of themselves. We are requesting a Social Emotional Classroom Activity Kit, Grab and Write Social-Emotional Prompts, clipboards so students can work around the room, and a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card to obtain even more social-emotional learning materials.
