I am a new teacher just starting out in the middle of the school year. I am so excited to get the opportunity to work with kids everyday. My students are coming from other classrooms where there is just to many students and now are finally getting the chance to come into my class and have less distraction and crowding and more learning and fun! Many of my students are in a low income situation with 85% of the school considered low income. 22% of the school is student learning English. Being a new teacher I need all the help I can get to ensure the students are having every opportunity to be successful in learning and growing.
My Project
All these materials will give students the chance to grow into confident and on level readers. The material will also help to create a cohesive and organized learning environment. Learning should be fun, and with these materials that can be possible. With the leveled readers I will be able to help guide students to a more independent level in their reading. With the organizational items I will be able to help students learn proper organizational skills and responsibilities. All the material I have asked for will help me to guide the students to make the gains they need to be successful the rest of the year.
