My Project
My students are amazing and deserve every opportunity to learn, live, and grow despite the economic challenges that they face. That is why I am writing this grant! I love teaching Physical Education to my students and engaging them in physical activity, cooperation and collaboration, teamwork, leadership development, and having fun! My school lacks a lot of essential items and equipment sets that would allow me to integrate sports and team play into my gym. I do not only want the basics for my class, though. I want my students to be exposed to and engaged in all sports, niche or not! Exposing my students to badminton play can offer several benefits. It promotes physical activity, which is crucial for overall health and well-being, and provides an opportunity for social interaction and teamwork, fostering important life skills. Badminton can also serve as a means of stress relief and a way to develop discipline and perseverance, which is so necessary for my students’ overall social/emotional health.
