Creating Scientists, One Notebook At A Time!

Help me give my students notebooks so they can make Science come alive through Science notebooking.

My Students

My students need basic school supplies to set them up for success during the school year. Your donation of journals will provide my students with the essentials needed to do their best in Science. My students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with 100% of my students receiving free breakfast and lunch. Many of my students also receive backpack food on the weekend.

Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best.

They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can, so they can be successful one day. Every day, my students walk into the classroom full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them each day.

My Project

My students LOVE Science!! In our district, we do not have Science textbooks. We believe that it is important for our students to create a Science text as they EXPERIENCE Science. As we dive deep into Science, my students participate in hands on experiments where they make observations and document what they experience in a journal.

Science journals are a living document of what students experience daily in Science.

Journals are a great way to share what they experience in a variety of ways. Because my students are the creators of their Science journal, they take ownership in their learning. A Science journal provides a way for my students to share their understanding of important concepts and make connections with topics that will help them throughout their educational experience and beyond.
