My Students

I teach in a small Title 1 school in Northwest Kansas. My students are a very close-knit group. They have known each other all their lives as there is only 1 daycare and 1 preschool in the area so they've been together forever.

My classroom feels more like a great big family.

The students work hard for me and I work as hard as I can to give them the best education possible. They deserve it! They are so eager to learn and try new things and I would love to give them more opportunities.

My Project

This easel will be a blessing for myself and my students in all aspects of our day. We will use it for morning meeting, reading and phonics small group work, whole group reading as a place to display our big books and make them available for students to read during free choice time. They will also be able to utilize the whiteboards to strengthen their muscles & work on fine motor skills needed for proper handwriting. The magnetic boards will be used with magnetic letters, numbers, and words for extended practice. I know it will help increase confidence in my students by providing more areas where they can gain some extra practice on skills.
