Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I get the opportunity to teach the hispanic community in Abilene, Texas. The majority of my students come from families with little or no English, and they get to learn it at school. Not only that the majority of my students come with a difficult background and little outside experiences. They are very passionate and very eager to learn new things.

Every year I get one or two students completely new to the country, no English, no families, no friends.

It is very moving to see how they really want to "fit in" and learn, and by the end of the year I can always see their growth and their skills.

My Project

This generation is surrounded with technology. It is very easy and convenient to use, but there is more than meets the eye.

Using these tools, my students will have the opportunity to see the roots of technology and how to create it by themselves.

Using the "Brictek Building Materials" will bring hands on activities promoting creativity, collaboration. They will learn the basics in coding using "Dash Dot Learn to Code Education dash robot" and come up with innovating ideas.

I believe with these activities my students will explore new areas and understand how the technology works. My goal is for them understand how learning the fundamentals, discipline and structure is a major fact to create anything.
