This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students love checking out books to learn how to do crafts but rarely have the time, space, or supplies to create these crafts. Creating, crafting, and doing puzzles bring joy to my students.
By creating a craft closet with supplies, our library can become a place where crafting, creating, and critical-thinking happen.
My students will have the opportunity to build puzzles, solve brain teasers, and relax through arts and crafts with their friends with the art supplies, and puzzles this project would provide.
Having space and opportunity to "tinker" and build creates problem-solvers and creativity, which are vital skills for future employment.
