Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

If my project is funded, I will be able to expand my social emotional learning lessons to include more materials and strategies for calming down and for movement. I am excited to be able to provide headphones for my students who get overstimulated and tools, such as the Calm Ball, for identifying and calming strong emotions.

A child's mental health is just as important as their physical health.

Teaching students coping skills is essential to their success in school and in life. I am hoping to expand my calm corner to support students' emotional health in addition to their academic progress.
