Help me give my students SEL items are used to nurture a culture of kindness, allow time for talking, and build social-emotional vocabulary. My students are eager to begin their post-secondary education but also engage in group work.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The materials and activities I am requesting will create, nurture and build vocabulary amongst students in group work. I want to help my students be more self-aware and learn self-management, decision-making, social awareness, and relationship skills in school.
SEL is the process through which all young people and adults acquire and apply the knowledge and skills to maintain supportive relationships.
For example, during my mandated group counseling, we will discuss postsecondary goals and how we use our SEL practices in and out of school. How do we work together as group? How can we become more self-aware in our feelings and conversations?
