My Project
I am a Speech-Language Pathologist working with students from kindergarten through fifth grade with a variety of needs. My goal is to create an environment where all students have equal access to communication, learning, and social opportunities. These resources will help me create an environment where students with speech and language disorders, including those with autism, are able to receive the individualized support they need to develop essential and functional communication skills. This project will provide a printer, laminating sheets, and velcro to help me create customized visual and multi-sensory resources. These materials are used to make interactive tools such as communication boards, visual schedules, vocabulary cards, social stories, and language-based games. These are not only essential for speech therapy—they are works of visual art in themselves, carefully designed to engage students' senses and promote learning through color and interaction. By providing these materials, we will be creating a more inclusive and supportive educational environment that boosts confidence and participation in school activities.
