With the donation of these Mosaic stepping stone-making materials, my students were able to make several stepping Stones that will adorn our new outdoor classroom that our staff is currently working hard to orchestrate and build. These stepping stones will be a great way to tie in art using many professional mosaic materials and to talk about the history behind them.
My students will experience making tiled mosaic stepping Stones by linking the concept of tiling in math to art and covering several stepping Stones with their peers that will become a permanent artwork in our school's new butterfly garden and outdoor classroom.
This donation will definitely provide my students with giant smiles of accomplishment when they get the chance to successfully create a stepping stone that represents their class.
My hope is for this dinner to be fully funded by the beginning of the start of next school year, and my students will make these as one of our first projects to kick off the school year!
