This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember what it was like to be a fifth grader? Do you remember how special graduation day was? I want students to have the opportunity to have a keepsake of their time in elementary school!

My students are from an elementary school in Washington Heights.

Most of my students receive free or reduced-price lunch. I have created a yearbook club to allow students to have an experience to document all their wonderful memories during their elementary years. The club has 20 students from all different class settings such as general education, integrated co-teaching, dual-language, self-contained special education and ESL. Together, they are creating a yearbook for the entire fifth grade.

My Project

The ink will allow me and my students to keep the cost down for the price of the yearbook. With no budget, we will doing the printing at the school for the yearbook. This will allow all of the 5th grade students (130 students) to have an opportunity to have a keepsake from their elementary years.

Having this ink would allow our club to print a copy of the yearbook for all of the students in fifth grade.

This would allow the students to all have a keepsake of all of the wonderful memories, friends, teachers and experiences they have had at school.
