My students need Tactile Letters, Write & Wipe Markers and Draw & Write Touch Boards.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Paddock's classroom raised $178
This project is fully funded
I teach in a early childhood cross categorical classroom. Some of my students are autistic, while others are developmentally delayed. My special education classroom consists of Kindergarten through 2nd graders and they all have varying abilities. In this high-need community, my students have few home resources, and often are not taught the skills they need to thrive in a school setting. While none of my students is able to write independently, some students are beginning to write some letters!
Although most Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Graders have developed the ability to write, my students are still struggling. They have a difficult time naming letters, even those in their name, and have poor fine motor skills. This makes it very difficult for my students to have academic success, and I spend much of my time writing students names on paper when I would love to see them be able to do it themselves.
My students love to use shaving cream, pudding, and other "messy" materials to practice their letters, but clean up takes a lot of time (and my patience!), so I would like to have something just as fun for handwriting practice. By using these materials, I could allow the students to work independently without having to worry about them making a mess. My students would be delighted to have something so fun to work with, they wouldn't even realize they were working!
Your donation will make it possible for my students to have academic success. You will allow my students to have the opportunity to learn to write!
