Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As an art specialist, I teach at two elementary schools serving approximately 515 students. Three-quarters of my students fall into the economically disadvantaged category and many are English language learners.

My classroom is where imagination becomes reality.

Through art, my students brilliant, uninhibited minds use problem solving skills and creative thinking to make beautiful works of art filled with wonderful creatures and made-up lands. This creative process also helps develop important skills that will assist them in life and other subject areas. My students deserve to have the tools they need to succeed!

My Project

Teaching between two schools can be a challenging and rewarding experience. These materials will be split between two different art rooms. The tempera paint will be used at one school so that my students can continue to create beautiful paintings and experiment with color mixing. Students at my other school are in need of new paint brushes to continue expanding their painting skills. The Magic Mud air dry clay will be used at both schools to create a variety of different clay sculptures at all grade levels.

Your donation will help students continue to grow and explore in the art room.

My students will be able to focus on having an enjoyable art class without worrying about lack of materials.

With your help, we can get creating like the masters!

Thank you!
