Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a vibrant group of second graders in a dual language classroom, where we work together in both English and Spanish. My students are curious, hardworking, and excited to learn how to read in two languages. To support their journey, I'm requesting a collection of books that will enhance their reading skills and love for stories.

The Learning to Read Box Set, Amelia Bedelia Box Set, Berenstain Bears Books, Little Critter Storybooks, Clifford Story Box Set, and Nonfiction Phonics Readers will provide them with engaging stories and valuable phonics practice.

These books are perfect for early readers, helping them build fluency and comprehension in both languages. The Honey-Can-Do Book Organizer will keep our growing classroom library organized, while the Bookmarks for Kids will encourage students to take pride in tracking their progress.

My goal is to foster a lifelong love for reading by giving students access to high-quality, bilingual books. With your support, my students will gain confidence in their reading skills and enjoy the magic of stories! Thank you for considering our classroom project!
