Help me give my students durable bags to bring books to and from school!
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Raquel's classroom raised $193
This project is fully funded
Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We have a book program in our classroom where students take two books home daily to read with their families. The families sign the record folder and send them back every day! So far this year our families have read over 800 books at home this year! However, the bags we have keep breaking and books have been damaged from leaky water bottles, pages been ripped from faulty bags, and it makes the transportation of the books and record folder to and from school more difficult.
These durable bags will ensure that families have a secure place to put their books and folder to get them to and from school so that we can foster reading at home and build all the skills that are the foundation of early literacy!
Included are some cushions we will include in our library area to encourage children to sit and read during school as well.
