Help me give my students 21st century materials such as a STEM building set, a pretend play camping set, and a toy clearning set for center time play and learning!
My classroom is composed of 30 amazing Pre-K kiddos! A majority of these students receive special education services and are English Language Learners. These students live in a poverty driven community, where all students qualify for free lunch and school funding is just not there.
These past year has been incredible difficult on these young kiddos living in a COVID hotspot.
Despite all they have been through, these 3 and 4 year old students are ready to be back in our classroom learning through play alongside their peers!
My Project
Real world, hands on activities explored through play provide my students with ability to learn and grow many different important developmental skills.
For this project, I want to brighten up and modernize our center materials to help my students continue to learn and grow through play!
Our dramatic play center is in need of materials to help us transform it to learn about all types of different real world scenarios and places such as camping and fishing for our wilderness unit!
With a heavy focus on stem this year (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), our science center is in need of some new materials to explore as students become engineers to solve problems and experiments.
