This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are excited to start working in small groups in their new kindergarten class! Help kindergarten students work in centers! Many of my students are visual learners and learn through play. These centers will help them learn in many ways. Students can learn skills like problem solving, communication, cooperation, and self regulation through hands on centers.
With these centers my students will learn the social and emotional skills to develop empathy and build healthy relationships with their peers. Small groups will have the choice of sitting on the carpet as a comfortable safe space in the classroom or use their desks. These literacy centers will help understand how words are constructed and boost their decoding skills.
