Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A happy classroom is a learning classroom. Our children today are spending an unbelievable amount of time looking at screens. Even downtime often involves a screen. Good teachers know that this is not how to build happy minds or happy classrooms. Rather, students need time to interact, laugh, strategize, and discuss.

I am asking for educational games that students can go to during inside recess or after their work is done.

The positive benefits of having board games in the classroom are long lasting and real: less time looking at screens, more time laughing and talking, more time strategizing and being creative!

Students truly need these experiences built into their days. Many kids don't know the joy of a family game night, so why not introduce this fun in school? I would argue that this is good for students both academically and emotionally!
