Creating Individualized and Small-Group Learning Spaces

Help me give my students their own learning centers with the Easy-Clean Room Dividers that help minimize distractions for my students with severe ADHD and the stackable drawers to hold their individual learning materials.

My Students

As an education specialist, my pre-K through 2nd grade students have varying needs. Their support needs range from small-group reading and math interventions to full-day, one-to-one instruction. Often distracted, these amazing students are working hard to catch up on reading, writing and math skills in addition to learning ways to self-regulate. My students are mostly from lower income families who support our educators and are thankful for our school's dedication in serving their children's needs. In addition to their learning disabilities, more than half are English learners.

My students need their learning space to be organized and centered around their multiple needs, reducing distractions and providing engaging learning opportunities.

My Project

Students with ADHA, autism, and other disabilities need focused learning sessions. They would benefit from these room dividers to break our classroom into small, learning spaces and to minimize distractions from the other groups. The drawer units would allow each student to have their supplies for intervention groups, including sensory materials such as the rubbing plates (to add to the materials already in use in our room) for short breaks during instruction.

By donating to this project, you will help create a student-centered learning environment that will support the academic and behavioral needs of my students.

Having individual student materials close at hand allow the instructors to quickly reward students for positive choices as well as providing sensory breaks to the students.
