My Project
Help me complete a beautiful classroom library full of decodable readers that will be accessible to all of my students. Every week we send home a book bag with our students. This helps to make books more accessible to all students of varying socio-economic status'. As a teacher in a title 1 school it is my mission to put books in the hands of all of my students. Having a variety of books that come in sets with multiples will make this possible within our classrooms.
Furthermore, having access to groups of decodable text will make it possible for me to be able to differentiate instruction in small group settings.
By having a variety of leveled books that highlight different phonics skills; we will be able to help students target the skill that they are working with. The non-fiction texts that I have chosen will also help to further students practical knowledge. As a title 1 school making consent knowledge easily accessible is not only a want but a need. As students may not have access to this knowledge outside go the classroom.
More than half of students from low‑income households
