This project is fully funded

Each day I pull small groups of students over to a table to help them become better readers. Our time together is essential to allow each group to read grade-level text. However, to be able to successfully work with several small groups of students, the rest of the class must be participating, practicing and learning on their own. The supplies that you could help purchase would give my students the ability to become independent learners and the confidence to face new tasks. I am a third grade teacher at an urban school in Indianapolis, Indiana. My school community is comprised of financially struggling families of all races, languages, and religions, and extremely hard-working teachers and staff. As a community we are trying to give all the students attending our school an opportunity for a better future. We would like to use your donation to help us buy different games, materials, and supplies related to reading and language arts. These materials will be used at different stations in our classroom by groups of students, to provide them with extra practice and support while I work to change them as readers. These donations will benefit 20-30 students of multiple cultural, economic, and learning backgrounds, including students who speak English as their second language. Being able to provide this learning opportunity will mean so much to the children of our community. Hopefully it will be a fun experience that will transition my students from learning to read to reading to learn.
