My Students
"Eat to live, and not live to eat." You can help my students discover how to make healthy snacks and increase their healthy snack opportunities.
I teach students with multiple disabilities.
This means my students have more than just one disability. Due to my students' physical disabilities it is important to obtain items that can be connected to adapted devices that my students can manage (blender)and a clear visual view in regards to instructions (table top easel and Time Tracker). My students attend a school who is dictated to giving students more choices in life. By teaching my students how to cook a variety of healthy snacks will widen their range of delicious healthy snack opportunities .
My Project
I will like to teach my students how to make healthy smoothies. Due to my students disability, they read using photo and symbols. My students will be shown a recipe made from photos and symbols. This will be placed on the table top easel. This will assist with helping my students to view the recipe. My student will also be giving a choice of which fruits they will like to place into the blender. The blender will be attached to a device which requires my students to only a button to blend.
You can give us a healthy start.
Through your generous donation, not only will you assist in helping my students to be healthy, but you will open a door to a variety of healthy snacks.
