At my neighborhood school where students are taught both academics and the importance of good character. In order to promote a life-long love of learning and keep students engaged, our school offers numerous opportunities for hands-on learning. Students experience tinkering, art electives, and a variety of STEM activities. Teachers and parents donate hours upon hours to support these tech and arts programs.
At this school, creativity, technology, and personal responsibility are areas of focus as we help train the next generation of citizens and leaders.
My Project
Young children need hands-on projects. Instead of worksheets, I want to stock my centers with a variety of fun manipulatives that can be used throughout the year. Students will use ABC beads to practice letter recognition, spelling, and fine motor skills. They will use assorted blocks to build familiar items, create their own designs, and practice colors and numbers. The lamination sheets will allow me to create centers that can be used repeatedly for many years.
Your donation will provide students with hands-on materials we will use all year long to practice fine motor and academic skills.
These materials will be used in a variety of activities during small group and independent work times.
